Background

Emerging in 1983 via an all-white sneaker accompanied by a set of coloured marker pens for user customisation; adicolor was and is about expression — of both the wearer and adidas as a brand. The adicolor sneaker was an all-white training shoe; specifically created for the adicolor concept. Presented in a wooden box, the adicolor low-top shoe comes with an all-white track jacket; a set of six coloured acrylic paints, paintbrushes, and a wooden palette. Wearers can coat and seal the white leather before or after painting. In 2005 Adidas re-launched adicolor as a replica of the original. The 2019 collection offers matchable sportswear items in bold colours, designed to be worn as one-tone looks. We carefully studied this communication and line identity while curating the Adicolor Immersive Experience at their flagship store in Mumbai.

Adicolor Immersive Experience

Mirror glazed cakes and pastries have risen in popularity on social media. You prepare it using sweetened condensed milk, some chocolate, water and a setting agent (gelatine / agar). Often, we colour them brightly; and the end product is reflective like a mirror. As part of the Creator’s Collective initiative, we curated a launch event and artistic experience. The lovely team from REIN Design Studio facilitated a live resin-art studio and we paired it with mirror glaze adicolor cakes. We tempted participants to make an adicolor purchase by creating a unforgettable experience; pouring resin art, eating vibrant cake and sipping on delicious drinks.

We curate unforgettable immersive experiences globally for brands by combining food, design, art and technology. Let’s grab a (virtual) cup of coffee and explore what we can do for you. Get in touch
